The Connection window allows you to do the following:
-
Display the existing connections for the selected panel, strip, or terminal.
-
Make new connections as required.
-
Disconnect any wiring items.
-
Define jumpers.
-
Open the Local Signal dialog where you can generate a new signal at the terminal strip level. Note that you can apply tag signals (level and sequence) to wires when no device panel is connected.
-
Generate and print out the current panel connection report.
-
When working in a Project, only in combined mode, you can claim As-Built terminals from the Connection window by right-clicking an item and then on the shortcut menu, click Claim Terminal.
You make the required connections using the drag-and-drop method.
The Connection window contains the following sections and options:

Allows you to select a terminal strip to display its connections. You can select another terminal strip if, in the Domain Explorer, you selected a panel before opening the Connection window.
Cable
Allows you to select a cable to bring to front (on terminals to which more than one wire is connected).
