You use this dialog to create a virtual digital tag for your HART instruments. Each HART instrument has a different set of digital signals. The digital signals depend on the I/O type (AI or AO) and on the instrument manufacturer who supplies the HART instruments with a specified variety of possible digital signals. You also use this dialog when changing the name of the virtual tag.
This dialog opens after you select New on the HART tab in the Tag Number Properties dialog.
Signal parameter
Allows you to select an appropriate digital signal (not available when renaming virtual tag).
Tag number
Allows you to type a name for the virtual tag.
