The following commands are for use when working in the Calculation Item window. Note that some of the options are available only for a specific fluid phase and the type of instrument selected.

Edit > Pipe/Orifice Materials

Allows you to add or edit pipe/orifice materials.

Edit > Copy > From Instrument

Copies process data from a selected instrument.

Edit > Copy > From Line

Copies instrument process data from a selected line.

Flowmeter Calculation icon 16bit Edit > Calculation > Flowmeter

Opens a flowmeter calculation sheet. Allows you to open process data sheet and delete selected instrument and line data.

Temp Calc icon 16bit Edit > Calculation > Thermowell

Opens a thermowell calculation sheet. Allows you to open process data sheet and delete selected instrument and line data.

Control Valve icon 16bit Edit > Calculation > Control Valve

Opens a control valve calculation sheet. Allows you to open process data sheet and delete selected instrument and line data.

Edit > Calculation > Relief Valve

Opens a relief valve calculation sheet. Allows you to open process data sheet and delete selected instrument and line data.

Edit > Batch Calculation > Flowmeter

Select an instrument type for which you want to calculate tags.

Edit > Batch Calculation > Thermowell

Select an instrument type for which you want to calculate tags.

Edit > Batch Calculation > Control Valve

Select an instrument type for which you want to calculate tags.

Edit > Batch Calculation > Relief Valve

Select an instrument type for which you want to calculate tags.

Actions > Enable Case

Opens a dialog to select a case name for the current process data sheet (available only if you have not yet created at least one case for this tag).

Actions > Add Case

Adds a case to the current tag (available only for a multi-case tag).

Actions > Delete Case

Deletes the active case from the current tag (available only for a multi- case tag).

Actions > Set as Governing

Sets the current process data case as the governing case(available only if the current tag has at least one case).

Save Icon 16bit Actions > Save

Saves the current values.

Actions > Recalculate Properties

Recalculates the displayed process data properties.

Actions > Enter Built-up Back Pressure

Opens the Built-up Back Pressure dialog to enter built-up back pressure for the current instrument (available when you are calculating a relief valve).

Actions > Recommended Valve Characteristic

Calculates the recommended valve characteristic. Determine whether a linear or equal percentage valve is more suitable for a specific valve application (available when you are calculating a control valve).

Calculate icon 16bit Actions > Calculate

Performs a calculation based on the values entered.

Actions > Assign Sheet Numbering

Opens a dialog where you assign a number to the current sheet within a calculation report.

Options > History Options

Opens a dialog to set options to mark the process data that has changed between dates that you set.

Options > Mark Changes

Marks the changes in the current process data sheet for the dates you selected in the History Options dialog. Enabling this option disables the Compare function available in the print preview.

Highlight Data icon 16bit Options > Highlight Process Data

Displays highlight colors in the background of fields that are mandatory for calculations (available only for instrument process data sheets). When displayed, the colors indicate the following types of mandatory fields:

  • A cyan background indicates that you must enter a value on the process data sheet.

  • A yellow background indicates that you may enter a value on the process data sheet, or you can leave it blank and enter a value for that field later on the calculation sheet.

Options > Automatic Unit Conversion

Converts engineering units of measure.

Options > Calculate Liquid Compressibility

Calculate liquid density using the liquid compressibility factor

Options > Saturated Steam

Calculates saturated steam temperature in accordance with its pressure (available if the fluid state is steam).

Reports > Calculation

Generates a calculation report for the current instrument.
