In the Domain Explorer, right-click the Fieldbus Segments folder and select New > Fieldbus Segment.

On the Foundation Fieldbus Segment Properties dialog, under Segment, type a unique name for the new segment.

Select a profile from the Segment-wide parameter profile list. If necessary, select
to open the Segment-Wide Parameter Profile dialog to edit or define a new segment- wide parameter profile. For details, see
Define Segment-Wide Parameters.

Select Intrinsically safe for this segment. Smart Instrumentation warns you if any instruments currently associated with this segment are not intrinsically safe. The software also warns you if an instrument you try to associate with this segment in the future is not intrinsically safe.
OR
Clear Intrinsically safe. Smart Instrumentation warns you if any instruments currently associated with this segment are intrinsically safe. The software will also warn you if an instrument you try to associate with this segment in the future is intrinsically safe.

Select OK to create the new segment.
