Smart Instrumentation Version
13.1

Displays title blocks associated with Smart Instrumentation. You can edit an existing title block, associate a new title block with Smart Instrumentation, and delete obsolete title blocks. After you associate a title block with Smart Instrumentation, the Domain Administrator can assign it to a specific report using the options of the Report Management dialog in the Administration module.

Title Block Name

Displays the names of title blocks you associated with Smart Instrumentation. There are title blocks that come shipped with Smart Instrumentation. For the list of available title blocks and their descriptions, see Title Block Descriptions in the Administration Help. All title blocks displayed under Title Block Name becomes available in the Administration module, on the Report Management dialog, where your Domain Administrator associates title blocks with reports. The default location of the template title blocks is <Smart Instrumentation home folder>\PSR.

  • If you want to print specs using the A4 sheet size, we recommend that you use the Specs Default TB with PB Units.psr title block with specs, which is fully compatible with all the library forms and does not require any manual adjustments. You can use the Specs Default TB with PB Units.psr title block in specifications only if the System Administrator, when making or modifying the current domain definitions, selected the Standard title block assignment method. If the selected method is Standard, the software hides all the title block assignment options that are available in the Specifications module.

  • If you want to print specs using the Letter sheet size, you must first modify the Specs Default TB with PB Units.psr title block in InfoMaker by reducing the title block height. Removing two revision rows from the title block is enough to make it appear correctly in a printout of any spec based on a library form.

  • In the fields that display the names of the plant hierarchy levels and the specific level items, truncation may occur if the plant hierarchy level names are too long. In the Administration module, the Domain Administrator can change the default level names Plant, Area, and Unit to long strings (up to 50 characters are allowed). To prevent truncation, we recommend that you create your own custom title block and provide enough room in the plant_name, area_name, and unit_name fields.

Revisions

Displays the number of revisions that defined for the specific title block. If you want to modify the number of revisions of custom title blocks, you need to add more revision rows and create appropriate macros in InfoMaker.

Units

Displays the unit of measure for the attached title block. In Smart Instrumentation title blocks, you can use either PowerBuilder units or inches. You cannot change the units of measure of the default title blocks. You can set the required units of measure when creating custom title blocks in InfoMaker.
