In MicroStation you group tags into tag sets. Use this procedure when you need to create a new tag set from scratch. To save time it is recommended that you duplicate and rename tag sets instead of creating new ones. You can save tag sets to a tag set library file and then copy them to other files as required .

  1. In the main MicroStation window, select Element > Tags > Define.

  2. In the Tag Sets window, under Sets, select Add.

  3. On the Tag Set Name dialog, type the required name, for example instrument.

  4. Select OK to accept the value and reopen the Tag Sets window.

  5. Repeat the above steps to add another tag set named loop.

  6. In the Tag Sets window, under Sets, select instrument.

  7. Under Tags, select Add.

  8. On the Define Tag dialog, type tag_loc. This value represents the tag location.

  9. Repeat the above steps to add another property named tag_num.

SHARED Tip The text in the Default Tag Value pane must be typed in upper case.

  10. In the Tag Sets window, under Sets, select loop.

  11. Under Tags, add the following properties:

    • loop_func (Loop Function)

    • loop_type (Loop Type)
