Use this procedure to create a batch macro from the Reference Explorer. Batch macro creation results in batch creation of loops and instruments based on the selected macros.

  1. On the Reference Explorer, expand the Macros folder.

  2. Select a macro.

  3. Right-click a selected macro and select Actions > Batch Macro Creation.

  4. On the Batch Macro Creation dialog, select macros using the Select check box and enter the range number of macros to be created.

    • You can enter numbers of created macros in a range format, for example: 1-10, by single numbers separated by commas (,), such as: 62,63, or a combination of them, such as: 1-10,62,63.

    • You can enter letters or strings, but letters must be entered individually, separated by commas; you cannot enter a range of letters.

    • Letters and numbers can be combined, for example, 1-10,f,g,22,z.

    • Make sure that any letters or numbers that you enter conform to your naming convention.

    • You can only use numbers in a KKS domain.

  5. Select Run.

When the creation process is complete, the Status column displays created macros statuses as follows:

Created

Number of created items.

Rejected

Number of items that failed to be created.

Already existing

Number of items not created because they already exist.

Canceled by user

The process was canceled by the user.

If errors occur in the batch macro creation process, select View log to open the Batch Macro Creation Log window to see the reasons for the errors. Select Save log to save the log file.
