Routing sections are the wiring elements that convey the cables in your <plant>. They subdivide into two main categories:
-
Trunk— a standard section that can be utilized in all non-enclosed plant areas. Trunks contain positions.
-
Building— a section that passes in an enclosed area and does not contain positions.
Creating routing sections is the last step in cable routing before associating routing with cables. Using this dialog, you can add a Trunk or Building routing section, and select the positions for a Trunk section. You can select positions for which you have already defined the maximum number of cables.
To open this dialog, in the Wiring Module window, select Tables > Cable Routing, > Routing Sections > New.
