You use the options in this section to display or define the filter settings for the browser view that you select in the Browser groups window. Smart Instrumentation uses these filter settings to display the data associated with the current browser view.

Filter settings allow you to determine how the software filters the data in the Browser View window.

Name

This field displays the current filter name. You can change the name after selecting Edit. If left empty, the displayed value will be (None).

Filter Definition Fields

The filter definition fields show the current status of the Filter settings of the selected browser in the Browser group pane.

Data Field Header

Allows you to select the field header according to which you want to filter the fields in the Browser View window. This list contains all the field headers that are associated with the relevant view.

Operator

Allows you to select the appropriate operator or function that determines how the selected field will relate to the expression in the Value field. For a list of available operators and functions, see View Filter Settings.

Value

Allows you to type the appropriate value to determine how the selected field header will be specified. You can use wildcards such as % or _ (underscore) to set the value.

Logical

Allows you to select the logical operator (And or Or) to determine how the next expression will relate to the current one. Leave this field empty if this is the last condition in the filter setting.

Edit

Makes all the fields in the Filter section accessible for editing. After selecting this button, it changes to Save.

Insert (available after selecting Edit)

Inserts a new data line where you define a new filter condition.

Delete

Delete the selected filter expression line.

Verify

Verifies the correctness of the syntax of the expressions used to define the current filter condition. Note that this does not prevent logical errors.
