You use this dialog to associate a function block with an instrument type. This association enables you to create new fieldbus tag numbers that will be automatically associated with a particular instrument type.
To access this dialog, select Function Block in the Instrument Type Profiles dialog.
Unassociated function blocks
Displays all the existing function blocks that have not yet been associated with the current instrument type. To associate a function block with the current instrument type, highlight the required function block and drag it to the Associated function blocks pane.
Associated function blocks
Displays all the function blocks that have already been associated with the current instrument type. To dissociate a function block from the current instrument type, drag it to the Unassociated function blocks pane. You can enter values in the Multiple and Execution Time fields only if you selected these check boxes for the pertinent function blocks in the in the Function Blocks dialog.
Name
Displays the name of the associated function block. It cannot be changed here.
Multiple
Allows you to type the number of function blocks of the same type as the current one that will be created with a tag number associated with the current instrument type.
Execution Time
Allows you to type the number of milliseconds that will take to execute the current function block.
