This procedure shows you how when displaying comparison data for an item type, you can specify which properties of that item type you want to appear in the comparison list by defining a style. By means of a style you can determine which columns are available, the order of the columns, column widths, column header text, and the appearance of the column header: border, background color, and overall height.

  1. With the Merger Session Manager window open, select to display the Compare Source-Target Data window.

  2. Select an item type from the Comparison Item Tree and do one of the following:

    • Select Actions > Create Style.

    • On the toolbar, select .

    • Right-click the item type, and on the shortcut menu, select Style.

  3. Specify the comparison list layout as follows:

    • Change the column sequence by dragging the column header to the required position.

    • Change the column widths by dragging the right border between the columns to the left or right as needed.

    • Adjust the overall column header height by dragging the lower border of the header up or down.

  4. To change the header text, double-click inside the header to open the Edit Column Name dialog and edit the text as required.

  5. Do one of the following:

    • Select Actions > Style Properties.

    • On the toolbar, select .

  6. On the Comparison List Style Properties dialog, from the Border list, select the border type that you require for the header.

  7. Select View beside each column that you want to appear in the style.

    SHARED Tip To display all the columns, select View all; to display none of the columns, clear View all.

  8. To choose a background color for the comparison list header, select Color to open the Windows Color dialog, where you can specify the color that you require.

  9. When done, select OK to accept the values and close the Comparison List Style Properties dialog.

  10. Select Actions > Save to save the style for the selected item type.

  11. Select Actions > Close to return to the Compare Source- Target Data window.
