Segment-wide parameter profiles allow you to define default settings that serve as design rules for the various segments. You use the Segment-Wide Parameter Profiles dialog as a manager for the following actions connected with segment-wide parameter profiles:

Launching the Segment-Wide Parameter Profile Properties dialog to edit an existing profile.

Launching the Segment-Wide Parameter Profile Properties dialog to create a new profile.

Deleting an existing segment- wide parameter profile.
To open the Segment-Wide Parameter Profiles dialog, in the Wiring module, select Tables > Segment-Wide Parameter Profiles.
Find profile
Allows you to search for an item in the data window. As you type the name of the item that you want to find, Smart Instrumentation selects the row in the data window.
Data Window
Displays all segment-wide parameter profiles.
Profile
Displays the name unique to each segment-wide parameter profile.
Description
Displays the description you entered for the profile.
Default
Displays your setting from the Segment-Wide Parameter Profiles Properties dialog. When you add a new segment, this setting determines the profile associated with the new segment by default.
Properties
Opens the Segment-Wide Parameter Profile Properties dialog to edit an existing profile.
