Using the To Do List - Intergraph Smart Instrumentation - Help

The To Do List allows you to keep track of tasks required to maintain data integrity in your plant when working in an integrated environment. Specifically, this feature aids in retrieving data by providing a list of all the items that must be added, deleted, or modified to bring the plant data into agreement with the latest retrieved information.

All the users of a plant database share a single To Do List. Its tabular format allows you to see all the documents retrieved to the To Do List in the Documents List tab, and in the Document Type tabs the tasks for each document.

UOMs retrieved from Smart P&ID that have not been mapped, are converted to SI (System International) units when an Update or Create task is created.

In SmartPlant 2013 tasks are displayed using the sub-item category, for example Create Soft Tag, or Create I/O Card. In SmartPlant 2016 this has been simplified to the main category, for example Create Soft Tag becomes Create Instrument and Create I/O Card is now displayed as Create Wiring Equipment. To view the sub-item categories, open the task properties, the header now contains the sub-item category. This change applies to all task types.

The following table displays the Create task names as they appeared in SmartPlant Instrumentation 2013 and as they now appear in SmartPlant Instrumentation 2016.

It is not possible to upgrade the To Do List from earlier versions of SmartPlant Instrumentation to SmartPlant Instrumentation version 2016. To upgrade to SmartPlant Instrumentation 2016 we recommend you do the following:

1. Run all outstanding tasks.

2. Delete the To Do List.

3. Upgrade to SmartPlant Instrumentation 2016.

4. Retrieve your documents.

5. Open the To Do List.
