Use this procedure to create a typical loop in the Reference Explorer.

On the Reference Explorer, expand the hierarchy to display the Typical Loops folder.

Right-click the Typical Loops folder and select New > Loop.

Type the new loop number and select OK.

Enter the information in the Loop Number Properties dialog and select OK.

In the New Tag Number message box select, No to create a new typical loop without associating a tag number. Select Yes to associate a new tag number with the typical loop and create an instrument. For details, see Create a Typical Instrument.
The new typical loop is automatically added to the Reference Explorer.
