The controller is the processing hardware that controls and supervises I/O cards. This dialog allows you to define and manage your I/O card controllers. You can define new controllers, edit the properties of existing controllers, and delete controllers.

To open this dialog, on the Slot Properties dialog, select Controllers.
Find controller
Allows you to search for a record in the data window. As you type the name of the controller that you want to find, the software selects the record in the data window.
Data Window
Displays all the available controllers. Select a value that your want to edit, or select New to add a new data row.
Controller
Allows you to type a controller name.
Description
Allows you to type the controller description.
Redundant
Allows you to select Yes if this controller is redundant, No if this controller is not redundant, or accept the default null value. Note that controller redundancy is independent of I/O card redundancy.
Manufacturer
Allows you to select a controller manufacturer. Note that these values come from the Terminal Strip Manufacturers select list.
Controller Type
Allows you to select a controller type which you can add by clicking Tables > Controller Types.
