This section describes the procedures for working with macros in the Reference Explorer. Macros are for creating a set of instruments and loops as a single process. This is useful if you have similar instrumentation configurations repeated throughout your installation.

Macros may consist of several Typical Loops and Typical Instruments. When you run a macro, it creates new instruments and loops based on the Typical Loops and Typical Instruments.

Macros can also be used as part of the integration process via the To Do List. For more information, see Using the To Do List.

The procedures described her are as follows:

  • Creating a macro folder or a batch macro

  • Editing a macro folder

  • Duplicating a macro folder

  • Deleting macro folders

Perform these procedures in the Reference Explorer.
