You use this dialog to select the Smart P&ID item attributes for which you want to import data. This option is useful where you have a large quantity of data in the source and you only want to import data for specific attributes of the selected item types.
You must only select those attributes that are split in the import source into two separate attributes: one holding a field numeric and the other holding the appropriate unit of measure. For details, see P&ID Attributes Split for Import into Numeric and UOM Fields.
To access this dialog, on the Smart P&ID dialog, select Attributes.
Window
The data window displays on each line the data attributes for selection to include in the import process.
Select
Select the check boxes for the data columns for which you want to import data. If you select none of the check boxes for a particular item type, the Import Utility uses all the columns of that item type as source data. Note that if you do not select an attribute that appears in the import link, the software imports the data for that attribute in any case.
Item Type
This column displays the name of the Smart P&ID item type (table) to which the data column belongs. Only the item types you selected in the Smart P&ID dialog appear.
Attribute Name
This column displays the name of the data column which identifies the attribute that you can select.
Select all
Select to use all the attributes for importing data.
Select attributes from links
Select to include attributes that are derived from the Smart P&ID import links.
View attributes
You can filter the attributes that appear in the list by selecting one of the following options:
All
Displays all the attributes in the list.
Selected
Displays only those attributes in the list that are selected.
Not selected
Displays only those attributes in the list that are not selected.
Apply
Accepts the selected item attributes for importing the data.
Report
Generates a report of the selected item attributes.
