The Engineering Data Editor (EDE) is split into three workspaces. Each workspace allows you to manipulate the information retrieved from Query Builder and perform the tasks you need to accomplish.
The EDE Explorer
Displays a hierarchical view of the items supplied with the software, as well as those created by you, similar to Domain Explorer in Smart Instrumentation.
The EDE Actions tab
Provides the properties of the specific EDE you are working on. It is divided into three sections: Actions toolbar, Layout History, and Attributes Explorer.
The EDE Main Window
Displays the EDE view in a grid format, divided into columns of data. The columns have a wide range of sorting and filtering capabilities. It includes:

A Search Box, which provides a quick way to search the items listed in the grid below.

A Grouped By section, which enables sorting and grouping by a specific attribute, or by multiple attributes
