The following workflow explains the basic steps needed to associate a functional requirement with multiple Instrument tags.

Create a Functional Requirement

In the Functional Requirement folder, create a new functional requirement.

Create an Instrument in the Domain Explorer

Create tags with Process Function and Instrument Type to be associated with a functional requirement.

Create a Query

In the Query Builder create a query that can be used to find tags that can be associated with a functional requirement. The query must contain the attributes Instrument Name and Functional Requirement.

You can use more than these two attributes, for example Tag Class, Loop Name, Process Function and so on, to make the association process easier when working with the EDE.

Generating EDE Views

From the query you created, generate an EDE to associate the functional requirement with the required tags.
