While working in the Connection window, in addition to displaying the adjacent connection of a cable or a wire, you can also open the farthest connection. This means that the software switches to the end of the wiring routing of the current wire and displays the last panel on that end. If a signal exists in the direction that you chose to switch to, Smart Instrumentation follows the signal to the end. If there is no signal, the software shows the panel that is connected at the end of the wiring routing.
Example 1:
In this example, you selected the left side connections of JB- 2. Therefore, Smart Instrumentation will display the connection of the device panel.
Example 2:
In this example, you selected the right side connections of JB- 2. Therefore, the software will display the connection of the DCS or the I/O card.
