This dialog displays all of the pipe specs defined in Smart Instrumentation and allows you to associate one or more pipe specs with user-defined sub-libraries or dissociate pipe specs from user-defined sub-libraries. For more information on implementation of pipe specs in Smart Instrumentation, see Pipe Specs. You can associate the same pipe specs with different user-defined sub-libraries.

After associating pipe specs with a user-defined sub-library, you can update the associations of sub-libraries with hook-ups on the Hook-Up Properties dialog, available in the Domain Explorer.

Item sub-library

Displays the user-defined item sub- library you selected in the Reference Explorer. If you selected more than one user-defined sub-library, you can select the Next and Previous buttons to make hook-up item associations for another sub-library.

Available pipe specs

Displays all the pipe specs that exist in the Pipe Specs supporting table of Smart Instrumentation. You can associate the same pipe specs with any number of user-defined sub-libraries. You can select one or more hook-up items and select Associate to move the items to the Associated pipe specs pane.

  • You can also perform association by dragging the selected pipe specs to the Associated pipe specs pane.

  • You can double-click a column header to sort the pipe specs in ascending order. Double-click again to sort the pipe specs in descending order.

Associated pipe specs

Displays the pipe specs associated with the currently displayed user-defined sub- library. You can select one or more pipe specs and select Dissociate to move the items to the Available pipe specs pane.

  • You can also perform dissociation by dragging the selected pipe specs to the Available pipe specs pane.

  • You can double-click a column header to sort the pipe specs in ascending order. Double-click again to sort the pipe specs in descending order.
