Use this procedure to save a page to the Smart Instrumentation database. You can save any page to the database, whether it is a page you open from an external file or a library page that you modified.

  1. Open a spec page in the Page Editor.

  2. Select Actions > Save as Page.

  3. On the Save as Page dialog, do one of the following:

    • To create a new page, select New. On the dialog that opens, type a unique name and an optional description, and then select OK.

    • To overwrite an existing page, on the Specification Page column, highlight the page you want to replace and then select OK. When prompted to confirm overwriting the existing page, select Yes.

  • Selecting Actions > Save also saves the page to the database (under the same name as the currently open page). You cannot use the Actions > Save option to save a page opened from an external file.

  • After you save a library page whose data fields you modified, the software treats it as a custom page.
