This dialog enables you to select the item types that you want to copy to the target domain.

You can either select entire modules or specified item types as the source. You must make a selection before you can perform the merge process.

(Data Window)

This data window displays all the source modules and their associated item types. The data window works like the Windows Explorer. You can expand or collapse the module levels as required. Expandable item types display a plus sign PPM All Outputs Graphic. Select it to display child item types. Select the minus sign PPM All Outputs Graphic to collapse that item type.

Highlight the item type that you want to select. A red check mark PPM All Outputs Graphic indicates a selected item type. To cancel a selection, select the item type again to make the check mark PPM All Outputs Graphic disappear. If you select a module, the software automatically selects all the item types contained in that module. If you select a single item type in a particular module, this action cancels the selection of the entire module. Therefore, you must make sure that you select other item types in that module as needed.

Merge data for

Indicates which items appear in the data window for merging. The option that appears comes from the setting in the Merger Preferences dialog > Data Type tab. The options are:

All plant items

Displays all item types in the plant for merging data. This option is available only if you have connected to an engineering company domain.

Configuration data items

Displays configuration data items only for merging. Configuration data is background data that includes default panels and cables, specification forms, instrument types, and various supporting table data. This option is available for any database connection, whether it is part of an owner operator domain or an engineering company domain. This option is useful where you need to populate several domains with basic data from the same source.

Select all

Select this check box to select all plant items and all configuration data items (excluding User Group and Access Rights), regardless of the items that appear in the data window. Note that this is not the same as selecting all the items in the data window.

Advanced

Opens the Advanced Selection dialog where you can make a more precise selection by selecting the required source tables. This command button is only enabled when you choose All plant items for displaying.
