The Project To-Do List displays all the items that are currently in the buffer waiting to be copied (claimed) to a project, or waiting to be copied (merged) from a project to the As-Built/Project Center. Every As-Built/Project Center and project has its own Project To Do List. In the Project To Do List you can see the details of the items that are selected to be copied and any associated items.

  • If you are logged into the As-Built/Project Center, you see all the items that are waiting to be claimed from the As-Built/Project Center to the selected target project.

  • If you are in a project, you can see only the items that are waiting to be merged from that project back into the As-Built/Project Center or items that are waiting to be copied to another project.

  • If you are in the combined view, you can see any of the following, but only one option at a time:

    • Items that are waiting to be merged from the project back into the As-Built/Project Center.

    • Items that are waiting to be copied to another project.

    • Items that are waiting to be copied from the As-Built/Project Center into the current project.

If you are In Exclusive claim mode, certain conditions apply when working with the As-Built, Projects Center, and Projects.

  • SmartPlant Instrumentation does not support having the same Active item claimed to different projects.

  • An Active item can only exist in one project and in the As-Built/Projects Center.

In Smart Instrumentation versions 2018 and 13.1, the ESL layouts are reference data. Therefore changes made to ESL layouts in a project, are imported/merged to your target database changing the reference data. To safeguard against this happening, inform the package/project user to avoid making any changes to the ESL Layouts. This is applicable when working with Offline Projects.
