The options on this tab allow you to display and define power supply properties of new or existing panels. Note that this tab is available only for those panels that require power supply. Although power supply data is not essential for Smart Instrumentation functionality, it is intended for the Smart Electrical Interface.
You make this tab available by selecting the Power supply required check box on the General tab.
To open a supporting table where you can add, modify, or delete items that appear on a given select list, select to the right of the select list arrow.
Panel
Displays the name of the current panel.
Criticality
Allows you to select a required criticality. This value will be used in Smart Electrical to determine whether the current panel requires UPS power or regular power.
Rated voltage
Allows you to select a value that indicates the voltage at which the panel is designed to operate.
Power supply type
Allows you to select the type of power supply: AC (alternating current) or DC (direct current). Note that selecting DC disables the Frequency, Number of phases, and Power factor full load options.
Frequency
Allows you to select the operating frequency. This property applies for an AC supply only.
Number of phases
Allows you to select the number of phases in the power supply to the panel. This property applies for an AC supply only.
Power factor full load
Allows you to enter the ratio of active to apparent power at 100% of the rated power. The power factor can have a value between 0 and 1. This property applies for an AC supply only.
Rated active load
Allows you to enter the full load power consumption for the current panel in kilowatts.
Full load current [A]
Allows you to enter the full load current value for the current panel in amperes.
Starting current [A]
Allows you to enter the starting current consumption for the panel in amperes.
Rated reactive load [kVAr]
Displays the full load power consumption for the current panel in kilovolt-amperes reactive.
Rated apparent load [kVA]
Displays the full load apparent power consumption for the panel in kilovolt- amperes.
Coincidence factors
Allows you to enter values corresponding to the percentage utilization for the selected operating mode. The values can be between 0 and 1.
Operating mode
Allows you to select an operating mode that describes how the panel is used in the <plant>. The operating modes that are supported by Smart Electrical are:
-
Continuous
-
Intermittent
-
Standby
-
Spare
Power distribution board data
Provides information about the associated power distribution board and its components. The values in these fields are determined by the data that you download from Smart Electrical.
PDB / Cell / Circuit
Displays the name of the associated power distribution board, cell, or circuit.
Phase arrangement
Displays the bus phase with which the current instrument is associated.
