The Import Utility is automatically installed when selected during Smart Instrumentation setup. However, if the Import Utility was not installed in your computer, you can install it by running the Smart Instrumentation setup and selecting to install the Import Utility.
-
You must have Domain Administrator access rights to be able to perform import activities.
-
If you are importing Smart P&ID data, Smart P&ID must be closed before starting the import session, to ensure that any modifications made to the drawings are properly imported to Smart Instrumentation.
You can start the Import Utility in one of two ways:
-
By selecting Import Utility from the Intergraph <aProduct> program group in the Windows Start menu.
-
By running an import session using a command-line. See Run an Import Session from the Command Line.
