You open the Project To Do List - History from the Tools menu.

The Project To Do List - History displays all the items that have been successfully copied to your current project since it was created, and from the current project successfully copied to other targets. The Scope History - Find Items dialog opens first, and is used to select the items you want to display in the Project To Do List History. To select multiple items hold down the Ctrl key while making the selection. Selecting the Cancel button closes the Scope History - Find Items dialog and no items display in the Buffer. On the toolbar, select History Scopes to open the Scope History - Find Items dialog again.

Project To Do List - History tab — Displays the name of the target.

The Project to Do List History consists these main sections:

Grid View

The Buffer tab displays all the root items that have been selected in the Find Items dialog. The results of your selection are read only.The Buffer's tab displays a read-only list of all items that have been copied to, or copied from a target throughout the lifetime of the current open Project. Selecting an item in the Buffer also highlights and displays the item in the hierarchy view.

You can only select up to 100 root items at a time from the Project To Do List - History Find window. To select more than 100 items, select PTDL Scope History (Scope History) from the toolbar, to open the Find window again, and navigate to the next page to make further selections.

The grid consists of four columns:

Availability

Displays a read-only indication of the items' availability status. The following icons are used to indicate the availability status.

Active Active

Item can be edited in the target project.

pTDL_InActive Inactive

Item cannot be edited in the target project.

pTDL_SemiActive Semi–Active

Item properties can be edited, but item relations and documents are not available.

Task Type

Displays the task status of an item.

Create_Success Create

Create task was successful. The item was successfully copied from the source and created in the target.

Update_Succsess Update

Update task was successful. Changes made to the item in the source and updated successfully in the existing item in the target.

pTDL_Delete_Completed Delete

Deletion task was successful. The item was successfully deleted from the target.

Duplicate_Succesful Duplicate

Duplication task was successful. The item was successfully duplicated from the source to the target.

Correlate

Correlate task was successful. The item was successfully overwritten in the target.

Name

Displays the name of the item.

Item Type

Short description of the kind of item. In addition, when applicable the item's Tag class, Document type and Panel category will be displayed in this column.

Page Selection

Used for splitting records spread over multiple pages, in cases where a large number of items exist in the Buffer . The page selection feature becomes active only when items in the Buffer spread over one page. When the Buffer is divided into several pages, any searches performed return results based on the current open page.

  • Sort the columns by selecting on the column header.

  • Type your search criteria in the Search box, to search all of the grid for your criteria. You can use the * asterisk symbol as a wild-card in your search criteria.

  • Select in the column header to open the Filter dialog and select from the available options to filter the data in the column. You can apply more than one filter to the grid at the same time.

Search Box (Tree View)

The Search box for the Hierarchy view functions in the same way as for the Grid view. Type in your search criteria and the tree automatically adjusts to display all items that include the search string, while expanding the paths to those items so you can see how they are connected.

Tree View

To the right side of the Project To Do List History's main window, is a representation of the items copied to the buffer, organized and displayed in a hierarchical format, similar to the Domain Explorer.

SHARED Tip The Search box for the Hierarchy view functions in the same way as for the Grid view. Type in your search criteria and the tree automatically adjusts to display all items that include the search string, while expanding the paths to those items so you can see how they are connected.

Project To Do List History - Toolbar

The following actions can be performed from the toolbar:

PTDL Scope History History Scopes

Displays a view of all the previously scoped items, which have existed in the Project and committed successfully to the target (either another Project or As-Built/Project Center).

Release Claim

Releases active items that are no longer needed in the project.
