The page size of an EDE is determined by the number of rows displayed. The default number of rows is set to 50. You can set the number of rows to be displayed. The minimum number is one, the maximum number is 3000.

To set the page size, do one of the following:

  • For an existing EDE:

    1. In the EDE Explorer right-click the EDE you want to set the page size for, and from the shortcut menu select Properties.

    2. In the Page Size field of the View Properties (Edit) dialog box, type the number of rows you want displayed.

  • When generating an EDE from a query, in the Page Size field of the View Properties (New) dialog box, type the number of rows you want displayed.

  • When performing a join on two EDEs, the page size default value of 50 rows is set automatically.

  • When duplicating an EDE, the page size set in the source EDE is used in the duplicated EDE.

  • If the number of rows typed into the Page Size field is invalid then, then the value reverts to the last valid page size that was set; if no previous valid page size was set, the value reverts to the default.

  • You must close and reopen an EDE, if you make changes to the page size while the EDE is open, to view the new setting.

  • Using the Regenerate from Template command, also restores the page size to the default setting of 50 rows.
