Prerequisites for Importing CADWorx Data - Intergraph Smart Instrumentation - Help

Make sure to do all the following before importing your CADWorx data.

• Importing data from CADWorx is based on the import from Microsoft Access. Make sure you fulfill all the requirements in Prerequisite for Using Microsoft Access as an Import Source.

• The CADWorx import links are defined with a default location for the source database. You must do one of the following:

  • Make sure to save your source database in the default location. The default location is as follows:

    c:\Temp\Project2a.mdb.

  • Modify the location of the source database by doing one of the following:

    1. Right-click on one of the links and select Folder.

    2. Select the Folder () icon on the import module toolbar.

    3. Browse to the location of your source database.

• The CADWorx import does not import instrument types, therefore, it is advisable to define all the instrument types before you import.
