Use this dialog to set your options when generating a report that lists all the unused numeric segments of tag numbers in the current <unit> or <plant>.
To access this dialog, start the Instrument Index module and select Reports > Available Tag Numeric Segments.
Numeric segment range
Allows you to type the range of numbers that will be included in the report.
Plant hierarchy level
These options deal with the plant hierarchy levels (<plant>, <area>, and <unit>) for which you want to generate your report.
Current <unit>
Includes the numeric segments belonging to the current <unit> only.
<Plant>
Includes the numeric segments belonging to all the <units> in the current <plant>.
Process function selection
These options allow you to include numeric segments of tags belonging to a specific process function or to all existing process functions.
Process Function
Limits the report to a specific process function that you select from the list next to this option button.
Select all
Bases your report on the existing process functions.
Include duplicate numbers
(available only after selecting Select all) Select to display all tag numbers unused by at least one process function. A cleared check box results in displaying tag numbers that no process function uses.
The clear option ensures tag number uniqueness across all process functions.
Exclude tag number ranges reserved for other projects
(available only if you have more than one project if your domain type is Owner operator) Compares the numeric tag number segments of your project against those of other projects, and excludes those numeric tag number segments reserved in other projects.
