When you publish documents, they are published in an .XML formatted document. You can also define the application to publish your documents as a graphical report as a PDF document alongside the .XML document. To do this:

  1. Open the Smart Instrumentation Administration module.

  2. On the Open Administration Module dialog box, select Domain Administrator and the domain name.

  3. On the Menu bar select Activities > Preferences Management

  4. On the Preferences Management dialog box, click Advanced.

  5. On the Advanced Domain Preferences dialog box, in the Module/Feature column locate SmartPlant Integration.

  6. Select the SmartPlant Integration > General > Graphic Report Format check box.

  7. Click OK.

  8. On the Preferences Management dialog box, select SmartPlant Integration > General.

  9. In the Graphical report format field select:

    • PDF — publishes graphical reports in PDF format.

    • None — doesn't publish any graphical reports.

  10. Click OK.

  • The graphical reports are published to the folder defined in Smart Instrumentation Preferences > General > Output document folder field.

  • You can also set the report format from the Smart Instrumentation Preferences > SmartPlant Integration > General > Graphical report format. If the Graphical report layout field is locked, you can unlock the field from the Advanced Domain Preferences dialog in the Administration module.

  • After defining the required format, you can lock the Graphical report format field by un-checking the Graphic report format check box in the Advanced Domain Preferences in the Administration module.
