Before the schema can be edited, the CMF file has to be checked out.

In the SmartPlant Foundation Desktop Client, set your update scope to Scope Not Set.
For more information about setting the active scope, see Set user options.

Click Find > Integration > Schema Documents, and click OK to find the CMF file.

Check out the CMF_Ver document.

In the New Items window, right-click the new version of the CMF file, and select Launch Schema Editor.

On the Set Active Configuration dialog box, select the schema version that you want to view.
For more options, click Advanced to display the Set Active Configuration dialog box:

Click OK to set the configuration.
You are now ready to start extending your integration schema. By default, your changes are stored in the Customization pseudo file; however, you can also perform any of the following options, if necessary:
