Update reference relationships - SmartPlant Foundation - IM Update 48 - Help - Hexagon

The Update Reference Relationships command allows you to update out-of-date reference files on a master document. This command is available when you right-click a document, then click Reference Documents > Update Reference Relationships.

1. Right-click a document revision for which you want to update reference relationships and select Reference Documents > Update Reference Relationships to open the Update Reference Relationships dialog box.

2. Select a document and update the reference relationship.

3. Click Process Updates to save changes.

By default, you cannot update reference relationships on a master document that has more nested reference files than that set in Nested reference file level in the SmartPlant Foundation Options. However, if you are an administrator, you can change the default behavior as follows:

• In the Desktop Client, update the methods of the client API UpdateReferences by selecting the method parameter Skip Max Nested Level Validation checkbox. By default, the checkbox is cleared. For more information about the client API and its methods, see UpdateReferences client API.
