You must enable the counters in SmartPlant Foundation Server Manager before you can use them in Windows Performance Monitor.

In Server Manager, expand the Sites > [Your Site Name] > Settings node.

Set the PerfmonStatus property to the required setting:

0 - Disable all counters

1 - Enable only ProcessRequest: # requests executed

2 - Enable only ProcessRequest: average time per request

3 - Enable all counters.

Recycle the site's application pool.
If you delete performance counters from the server, you must also set the PerfmonStatus property to 0. If the counters remain enabled in Server Manager after they have been deleted from the server, the performance counters will not capture data and the following error is written to the trace log: "InvalidOperationException: The requested Performance Counter is not a custom counter, it has to be initialized as ReadOnly." To resolve this problem, reset the performance counters as described in Resetting performance counter values.
