Toolbar items provide a shortcut for performing various actions in the Desktop Client. These items (also called toolbars in SmartPlant Foundation) can be created and added to the main toolbar.
The definition for each toolbar button contains the action to be performed when the button is clicked, the method to be used for the button, and other related properties.
Access groups can be assigned to the toolbar item. A user must be in a role that is related to an access group and associated with the toolbar to access to that toolbar item. For more information, see How to Configure the Security Model.
