You must have Microsoft Access Database Engine installed on your computer to use
the Tag Pattern Extractor.

Open the TagPatternsExtractor.exe file downloaded from Smart Community. For more information, see Find sample data on Smart Community.

In the Tag Pattern Extractor dialog box, click Browse to upload the Microsoft Excel file containing the tag patterns and tag naming system items. The Microsoft Excel template file is from sample data located on Smart Community. For more information, see Find sample data on Smart Community.

Click Generate. After generating the XML load files, the icons of the output files appear in the Tag Pattern Extractor dialog box.
Two output files are generated and they are placed in the sample data folder. The
sample data folder can be downloaded from Smart Community. For more information, see Find sample data on Smart Community. The output files include:

Tag Patterns - The XML load file for all the tag patterns.

Tag Naming System Items- The XML load file for the tag naming system items.
