You can use the Auto Publish option to automate the publishing of tags.

  • Before publishing work packages using the Auto Publish option, you must make sure that the Intergraph SmartPlant .NET 2019 software is installed on the application server. For more information, please contact your administrator for further assistance.

  • By default, the Auto Publish option publishes tags that you have created and updated. If you want to publish terminated tags and relationships using the Auto Publish option, then you must configure the SPOCUpdateTombStoneFile process step as the first step of the workflow used for publishing the tags. For example, if you are using the AutoLoadPublish workflow for publishing tags, then you must configure the SPOCUpdateTombStoneFile process step as the first step of the AutoLoadPublilsh workflow.

  1. Click File > New > Work Package Management > Auto Publish > Task.

  2. In the Create Automatic Publish task dialog box, type a name and description for the task.

  3. In the Schedule Time box, select the time when you want the automated publish task to run.

  4. Select your preferred frequency of running the auto publishing task from the Frequency list. For example, to publish tags daily, select the Publish Daily option.

  5. Type the condition for selecting the tags that need to be published. For example, to select tags with the LifeCycleState of Reserved, type [obj.LifeCycleState=’ Reserved’] in the Condition box.

  6. From the Revision Scheme list, select a revision scheme for the document to be created during publishing.

  7. From the Owning Group list, select the owning group for the document to be created during publishing.

  8. Select the workflow for publishing the tags from the Workflow list, and click OK. A scheduler task for the automated publish operation is created. The task automatically relates the tags to work packages, and then publishes the work packages.

  • To disable the scheduler used for Auto Publish operation, AutoPublishScheduler, click File > New > Work Package Management > Auto Publish > Disable.

  • To delete a specific task created for Auto Publish, use the following steps:

    1. Click the Find Schedule Tasks Find Schedule Tasks icon icon.

    2. Using the Find Schedule Tasks dialog box, find the task.

    3. Right-click the task, and click Delete.
