In the Desktop Client tree window, click Document Category > Template Documents.

Right-click Datasheet Template and select New Template Document to open the New Template Document dialog box.

In the Name box, type the name, for example, Base Control Valve List Template.

In the Description box, type the description, for example, Base Control Valve List Template.

In the Item owning group list, select an owning group from the list, for example, ADMIN.

Click Next to display the Attach Files section dialog box.

Click Add File and attach the Excel worksheet created previously, for example, Base Control Valve List.xls.

Click Finish. The new template document appears in the New Items pane.
