You can create two types of dossier chapters:

  • Current Revision - This chapter displays the latest version of the attached document.

  • Specific Revision - This chapter displays the specific version of the attached document.

  1. Right-click the dossier, then click Manage Chapters.

  2. In the Manage Chapters dialog box, click Create.

  3. In the Item dialog box, enter the chapter name in the Name box.

  4. Select a chapter type from the Chapter Type list. By default, Current Revision is displayed as the chapter type. To relate, drag the object onto the dossier, and select the object in the New Relationships dialog box, then click OK.

  5. To attach a document to the Current Revision chapter type, click Find. All of the documents are displayed in the Document Master box.

  6. Select the check box in the Document Master box to attach the selected document to the dossier chapter.

  7. Click Finish.

  8. In the Manage Chapters dialog box, click OK. The chapter is created and displayed in the New Items window.

  • You can attach a document to the Specific Revision chapter type the same way.

  • You can attach a document to a chapter by dragging it onto the chapter type.

  • To attach files to a chapter, select File from the Attach list. Right-click the chapter in the New-Items window, and click Attach file.
