3d pre-proc

  1. In the Associated Class Definitions for Template pane, click Configure ClassDefs Configure ClassDefs.

  2. In the Classify 3D Classes and Moniker IDs window, select a class from the Class Name column, and click Add Selected Classes to associate the class with the drawing file.

    • You can type a description for the class in the respective Description text box.

    • You can also assign a parent attribute to the class in the corresponding text box in the Parent Attribute column. The parent attributes are properties of 3D tags and are named after the parent object for which the value is defined in the .mdb2 file.

    • After configuring 3D classes using the parent attribute and generating pre-processed content files using the 3D Reader Pre-Processor module, perform tag extraction using the Content Discovery Task. You can then view the parent component of an object in the SmartPlant Foundation Desktop Client, by doing the following:

While viewing a 3D model using SmartPlant Markup Plus, right-click on any component published from Smart 3D, and click View Item in 3D model to view the respective parent component. For example, when you click on any pipe displayed in a 3D model, you can view the respective piperun.

    • In the above example, the Class Name column has Moniker IDs. This means that the file type is in the SP3D format

    • Select the Is format SP3D check box to map the Name or Description of the Data Capture tag with any 3D property such as ID.

    • To add a new class to the Class Name list, click Add Class .

    • Select a template and click Delete Template to delete a template.

    • Select a Class Name and click Remove Selected Classes to remove the class name from the list.
