You can generate a summary of items from a lower configuration or project that is ready to be merged to a higher configuration or plant using two types of merge summary reports:

Mergeable Items Summary - generates a list of all mergeable items including all terminated and deleted items. This summary can be run for ad hoc mergeable items, or an entire project or configuration. For more information on creating a mergeable items summary, see Create a mergeable items summary.

Merge Structure Summary with Validation - generates a list of all mergeable items using a specific grouping object to select the data structure and runs the data through a specific set of validation rules. This summary can be run to identify the scope of the merge and highlight any validation issues.
