The Data Validator Job Definitions page allows you to create a new Data Validator job definition, and generate the required the .csv file and control file.

Log on to SmartPlant Dashboard.

Click Data Capture Administration to open the Data Capture Administration module.

Click Data Reader Patterns.

Click Create Data Validator Job Definition to open the Create Data Validator Job Definition page.

In the Name box, type the name of the new Data Validator Job Definition.

In the Description box, type a description for the new Data Validator Job Definition.

In the Target System box, type the name of the target system as created in Data Validator.

In the Control File Directory box, type the location of the Control File Directory.

In the Username box, type your Data Validator target system username.

In the Target Configuration box, type your target configuration. For example: ConfigurationTOP~PlantA.
Select Suppress ENS check box, to create objects by suppressing ENS when exporting the objects to the
target system. If the value is set to True, then the objects are created with the
object names defined in the .csv file by suppressing the ENS in the target system.
If the value is set to False, while exporting, the objects are created with ENS defined
in the target system.
