Sub menus are created by relating one menu (sub menu) to another (parent menu) and allow you to keep the primary menu shorter and easier to use. For more information about adding a new method to a sub menu, see Add a new command to a menu.

Right-click the menu, and click Manage Sub Menus on the shortcut menu.
The Manage Related Items for Menu dialog box that appears can be used to manage the sub menu creating, deleting, or changing the sequence of the sub menus.

In the right pane, click Create. The New Item form is displayed.

Type a Name and Description for the sub menu.

Type a Display As value for the sub menu. This is the name that appears on the parent menu for this sub menu.

Type a Main Sequence value, which is the sequence number for the sub menu and will determine its placement on the parent menu.

Click Finish.

In the right pane, select the new sub menu, and click
.
If the dialog box is in portrait orientation, the Library pane appears at the bottom
of the dialog box instead of on the right side of the dialog box. Click Relate Selected Item 
in the Library pane to add the new sub menu to the menu.

Use the

to change the sub menu sequence.

To delete a sub menu from its parent, select the sub menu in the left pane, and click Remove Selected Item
. This removes the relationship between the sub menu and the parent. The sub menu
remains in the database.

Click OK.
You can also create a sub menu by creating a new menu (see Create a new menu) and then dragging it onto the parent menu.
