You can export a dossier structure, as well as the files attached to a dossier, dossier chapters, and sub-chapters, in a CSV format from SPO/E Core to the target system using the Exchange Data functionality. For more information on configuring the Exchange Data functionality, see Configure the Exchange Data functionality.

The .csv file generated must be validated using the Intergraph Data Validator before exporting it to the target system. For more information on setting up Data Validator for validating data, see Setting up Data Validator for Data Validation.

Generate a .csv file to export the dossier structure to the target system

  1. Find the DossierExportConfig report configuration object, right-click it, and click Update.

If you are creating a new report configuration object, you must select the Is CSV repeated check box. For more information on creating a new report configuration object, see Report Configuration.

  2. In the Update DossierExportConfig dialog box, in the Export directory path text box, specify a location to save the .csv file in, and click OK.

  3. Right-click the dossier, and click Exchange Dossier data. The .csv file and the files attached to dossier, dossier chapters, and sub-chapters are saved in the location specified in the DossierExportConfig report configuration object.

  • You can export multiple dossiers from SPO/E Core to the target system simultaneously.

  • The delivered recursive relationship definition, SPXDossierChapterComposition, is used to expand objects recursively. You can also configure a custom recursive relationship definition and associate it with the report configuration object. For more information, see Manage view definitions options.

  • The target system and source system should have the same ENS configuration.

Validate data using Data Validator and export it to the target system

  1. Log on to the Data Validator Job Management module and create a new job. To create a new job and run it, see Create a job.

When creating a new job, select the Suppress ENS check box to suppress the creation of objects with ENS in the target system for this job.

  2. Download and view the validation report and take any necessary corrective actions. To download the validation report, see Download a validation report.

  3. If validation is successful, click the Approve Workflow Step icon to approve the job and export data to target system. For more information on approving the validation report, see Approve the validation report.

  4. View the exported data in the SPO/E Core authoring domain in the target system.
