  • Right-click the register document, and click CompareAgainstPreviousVersion on the shortcut menu.

  • The new comparison report created has a unique name that uses the name of the register document, version, date and time, and a unique identifier.

  • The comparison report .csv format file is opened using your standard .csv file viewer, such as Microsoft Excel, so you can view, modify, and save the .csv file locally or attach it to a document, as required.

  • The comparison report has two columns for each attribute, one displays the value from the latest version and the other displays the previous value. The column headers include the column ID of the column from which the data originates for the latest data, or the column ID with a _PREV suffix for the previous value, unless configured differently by your administrator.

  • The comparison commands can be configured so that the report shows only the column attributes that have changed in any rows of the comparison report. The default RECORD_STATUS column shows the status for each row of data in the .csv file format report for easy navigation. For example:

    • UNCHANGED – Objects are the same in both versions.

    • MODIFIED – Objects differ between versions.

    • ADDED – An object was added in the new version.

    • DELETED – This object was removed in the latest version.
