You can generate PDF files automatically or by using batch rendition, shortcut menu commands, or workflow steps.
-
You cannot generate PDF files from partially mapped datasheets.
-
The file name of the rendition is limited to 128 characters. If the length of the source file name, without the file name extension, is greater than or equal to 118 characters, the source file name extension is removed from the rendition name. If the length of the source file name, without the file name extension, is less than or equal to 117 characters, the source file name extension is appended to the rendition name.
-
A default time out period of 600 seconds is applied if the dmredl.exe command is used for PDF generation. You can change this time out value by adding the -t [n] parameter to the end of the command, for example: dmredl -p "C:\temp\inputfile.docx" -pdf "C:\temp" -t 800.
