This interface is realized by the document version classes and is instantiated when the document is created interactively. When using SmartPlant integration, a separate interface is realized on its document version classes and instantiated during the publish process. This distinguishes the published and unpublished documents.

Functionality configured on ISPFNonPublishedDocVersion

The commands Change Owning Group, Delete, Terminate, Run Editor, Undo Check Out, Update Reference Relationships, Update Referred by Relationships, Check In, Check In Replace, and Check Out are configured on this interface.

Details

Change Owning Group - Allows you to change the owning group with which the document is associated, effectively changing which users have access to check out the document, based on user role assignments.

Run Editor - Allows you to open one or more of the attached files in the default application associated with the file extensions of the files.

Undo Check Out - Reverses the checkout of documents, sets them back to their original state, and removes the local files from the directory, where appropriate.

Update Reference Relationships - Updates any reference file relationships, a link to old versions of the document.

Update Referred by Relationships - Updates any referred by file relationships, a link to old versions of the document.

Check In - Checks selected documents into the vault, transferring the local files and, optionally, overwriting the previous document version.

Check In Replace - Checks selected documents into the vault, transferring the local files and overwriting the previous document version.

Check Out - Checks out selected documents to create new versions of the same revisions and copy the files to the user's computer.
