Error
After upgrading from a previous version to SmartPlant Foundation 2018 R1 and above, when you try to generate a data sheet the following error message appears:
Failed to Activate the datasheet. Changes will not be saved
Solution
When upgrading from a previous version to SmartPlant Foundation 2018 R1 and above, you need to remove any special characters from the mapped properties in custom template files. For example, do not have a "." at the end of the property name, such as in view definition aliases. This is a limitation after upgrading as a change was done to help performance so only the schema of the mapped properties is returned as opposed to the entire schema for all the properties in a view definition.
