The claimed icon states for non-document items, such as tags, systems, and so on, are controlled with additional concurrent engineering icon states. These are configured by creating additional icons for a class definition. Since the items do not typically have other states with another meaning, fewer icons are required. There are four claimed state icons currently supported, as shown in the following table:

Notes

Tag without any claim state.

<ClassDef> - For example, DEVTag.

Tag at higher configuration, which has been claimed to a lower configuration.

<ClassDef>_SC - For example, DEVTag_SC.

In this example, color coded red to warn the as-built users that the data is under change.

Tag at lower configuration, which has been claimed from a higher configuration.

<ClassDef>_RC - For example, DEVTag_RC.

In this example, color coded green to indicate to project users that the data is available to be worked on locally. For example, DEVTag_RC.

Tag at lower configuration, which has been claimed from a higher configuration and subsequently claimed to a third configuration level.

<ClassDef>_RC_SC – For example, DEVTag_RC_SC.

In this example, color coded red/green to warn project users that the local data is under change in a third configuration.

To use these concurrent engineering-specific icons rather than the standard icons, select the Use Concurrent Engineering Icons option on the system options. For more information on the system options, see Configure the system options.
