The Manage Related Items functionality in the Web Client provides the user with the ability to configure and manage related items for a specified object relationship. The related items are presented in a tabulated view, so you can easily add or remove existing related items for a selected object.

SHARED Tip You can also configure some display properties in the column items for specific object types.

The following are some examples of the objects that you can configure using the Manage Related Items dialog:

  • Functions in a feature set

  • Column items in a column set

  • Access Groups for a role

  • Roles for an access group

  • Adhoc and Summary reports for an object

You can manage each of these and others by selecting the type of object, and clicking the appropriate Manage <related item> action displayed in the object's Actions menu.

You must regenerate the metadata for any related item changes to be applied to the selected object in the system.

  • Access to the manage related items functionality is controlled by your role and system permissions. For more information, contact your system administrator.

  • The manage related items functionality in the Web Client does not support creating or deleting some related items or other advanced options as found in the Desktop Client.
